Raymond Stempert was a French racing car driver .

Career

Raymond Stempert worked as a vehicle engineer at Panhard & Levassor and was involved as a rally and circuit driver in his free time . At Panhard he also met his future wife Gilberte , who became known as a rally driver. As a rally driver, he was particularly successful in the Alpine race and on the racetrack, his victory at the 1953 Grand Prix of Agadir is the best result in the results lists. His only outing in the Le Mans 24-hour race ended in 1953 with 22nd place.
