Andreas Bock (born August 19, 1968 ) is a former German handball player and coach .

Career

The 1.91 m tall circle runner , who was also used as the left wing , learned to play handball in Bernburg (Saale) . After he moved to SC Magdeburg , he played ten international matches for the GDR's junior team . After the fall of the Berlin Wall , he first joined the regional division Spvg Versmold and a year later the second division 1. SC Göttingen 05 . In 1993, his class competitor TSV GWD Minden signed him . He was promoted to the Bundesliga with the club in 1995 and reached the final four tournament for the DHB Cup in 2000 . With TuS Spenge , he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2001. After a year-long engagement at Eintracht Hildesheim , he returned to Spenge and acted as a playing assistant coach. For the 2006/07 season, Bock moved as a player-coach to HCE Bad Oeynhausen in the league . After half a year, however, he resigned and was hired again in Spenge. At the end of his career he played for the national division SG Bünde-Dünne.
