Andreas Geitl

Andreas Geitl (born August 10, 1956 in Karlskron ) is a German chef , author of culinary literature and a television chef .

biography

Geitl comes from a restaurant family from Baar in the Hallertau . He finished his apprenticeship at Partenkirchner Hof in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as “Bavaria's youngest cook” in his time. After several positions in Europe, he worked for Richard Süßmeier from 1983 .

Since 2003, Geitl has been the kitchen director of the restaurant at Nockherberg and of Winzerer Fähndl , the Paulaner festival tent at the Munich Oktoberfest.

Since 2004, Geitl has been a regular TV chef in the magazine Wir in Bayern with his series Geitl kocht . In addition to other BR productions, he appeared on VOX and Sat.1, among others . So far, Geitl has been on cruise ships twice as a celebrity chef in the ARD documentary Crazy About the Sea .

Andreas Geitl is married to a Swiss woman, they have a daughter and a son together.
