Andreas Hartmanni (Canon)

Andreas Hartmanni (* around 1443 in Eppingen ; † January 14, 1507 ) was a canon , court judge and vicar general in Strasbourg .

Hartmanni came of Jurists and Councilman Family Hartmanni , studied from 1459 at the University of Heidelberg canon and civil law. In 1463 he completed his master's degree and in 1466 became a member of the council of the artist faculty. In 1469/70 he was elected dean of the artist faculty, and in the second half of 1474 he was rector of Heidelberg University. In 1476 he received his doctorate in both rights and was court judge and vicar general in Strasbourg . There he published the repertory of Baldus de Perusio in 1478 . After 1500 he made a donation of 49 guilders to the parish church of Our Lady in Eppingen. He died in 1507. His epitaph is preserved in the cloister of the Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Protestant church in Strasbourg .
