Andreas Hofer (born February 8, 1991 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian track and road cyclist.

Life

The Lower Austrian Andreas Hofer was several times Austrian runner-up on the road and on the track in the youth class. He went through all youth and junior national teams; In 2009 he started in the Austrian junior national team.

In 2009 he became only the third Austrian after Matthias Brändle and Marco Haller to win a stage in the Junior Nations Cup, the highest UCI category. Hofer has been driving for the Tyrol team since 2010 .

In 2011 he became Austrian time trial champion in the elite class. At the 50th anniversary race of the cherry blossom race in Wels on April 10, 2011, he finished fifth.

In May 2012 Andreas Hofer took third place at the Austrian championships in the individual time trial and the U-23 title.

In April 2017, the 26-year-old finished ninth in the Tour du Maroc, which lasted several days .
