Andreas Köhler (born June 5, 1963 in Dortmund ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .

Career

The striker Andreas Köhler began his career with pupils Merklinde from Castrop-Rauxel and came across the VfB Waltrop to Oberliga TuS Schloss Neuhaus in Paderborn . In the summer of 1985, Köhler moved to BVL Remscheid , with whom he became German amateur champion a year later . In 1987 Köhler became champions of the Oberliga Nordrhein with Remscheidern and made the leap to the 2nd Bundesliga in the following round of promotion . Köhler made his professional debut on July 22, 1987 in the 1: 2 defeat of Remscheider at Fortuna Cologne . At the end of the season Remscheid was relegated. Andreas Köhler played 30 second division games and scored six goals. In 1989 he moved to Wuppertaler SV. Here celebrated the championship in the Oberliga Nordrhein, but failed in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga. From 1990 to 1993 the Spvgg Erkenschwick closed and returned to the Oberliga Westfalen. At the end of his career he then joined Westfalia Herne in the Association League. With VfB Waltrop he then managed to move up from the regional league to the association league.

After his active career, Köhler became a coach and initially looked after SV Germania Datteln in the district league. He then moved to SV Sodingen in the regional league. Then went to various Dortmund amateur clubs such as Hombrucher SV , TuS Eving-Lindenhorst , Phönix Eving and BW Huckarde . He then trained the SG Lütgendortmund women's team in the 2nd Bundesliga before returning to men's amateur football at Sportfreunde Nette . He also trained Eintracht Datteln and Wacker Obercastrop . He is currently working as an assistant trainer for the TuS 05 Sinsen club.
