Andreas Kurz (politician)
Andreas Kurz (born May 29, 1894 in Gufflham ; † December 31, 1976 in Altötting ) was a German politician of the Bavarian People's Party (BVP) and the CSU .
Kurz worked in agriculture until 1914. After the First World War, where he was seriously wounded twice, he worked as a nurse. In 1922 he became diocesan secretary of the Caritas Association in Würzburg, in 1924 diocesan secretary of the Catholic workers 'organizations and in 1925 workers' secretary of the diocese of Würzburg .
From 1929 on, Kurz was a city councilor in Würzburg for the BVP. In 1932 he was elected to the last freely elected Bavarian state parliament for the BVP . He also belonged to the to the DC circuit according to the results of the parliamentary elections of 1933 of formed last state of the Weimar Republic, which was dissolved after just one session.
In 1933 Kurz was temporarily imprisoned and lost all positions and offices. He then worked as a businessman, first in Würzburg, and later in Munich. After the end of the Second World War he was a founding member of the CSU and became treasurer of the CSU district of Upper Bavaria. In 1946 he was elected to the new Bavarian state parliament for the constituency of Upper Bavaria , and in 1950 and 1954 he was able to win the Altötting constituency . From 1950 to 1958 he was a member of the state executive committee of the CSU and the parliamentary group executive in the state parliament; From 1946 to 1950 and again in 1953 he was chairman of the submissions and complaints committee. In 1958 he left the state parliament.
Short also was sacristan and chairman of the Bavarian Mesner Association.
