Andreas Lackner (politician)
Andreas Lackner (born March 20, 1968 in Altneudörfl , Styria ) is an Austrian politician of the Greens . Since December 17, 2019, he has been a member of the Federal Council sent by the Styrian state parliament .
Life
After primary school in Weixelbaum and secondary school in Deutsch Goritz, Andreas Lackner attended the federal upper level high school in Bad Radkersburg , where he graduated in 1986 . He then began studying materials science at the Montanuniversität Leoben , followed by political science studies at the University of Vienna in 1989 (until 2000). In 2009/10 he completed a diploma training as a social and vocational pedagogue at the Vocational Promotion Institute (BFI) in Graz .
He works as a consultant at the Public Employment Service (AMS) and as a farmer.
politics
Lackner has been a member of the Deutsch Goritz municipal council since the 2015 election . In 2016 he became deputy district spokesman for the Greens in the Southeast Styria district and in 2017 he was deputy chairman of the green farmers in Styria . In the National Council election in 2017 , he ran as a top candidate in the regional constituency of Eastern Styria and on the fifth place in the list in the regional constituency of Styria . In the 2019 National Council election , he was ranked sixth on the state list and second in the regional constituency of East Styria.
After the state election in 2019 , he was at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative period on December 17, 2019, delegated by the Styrian Landtag as the first Green from Styria to the Federal Council . With this newly acquired fourth mandate in the Federal Council, the Greens submitted a motion to form a parliamentary group , which was unanimously adopted by the Federal Council on December 19, 2019.
In 2020 he became chairman of the green farmers in Styria, and Alex Pinter became his deputy .
