Andreas Langer (born October 13, 1956 in Mildenau ) is a former German Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Langer finished fifth in the combination at the GDR ski championships in Oberwiesenthal in 1977 and started in the Nordic Combined World Cup in 1978 . Previously, he had just missed a medal in fourth at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1978 . At the GDR ski championships in 1979 he won bronze.

He achieved his only World Cup victory and his only podium placement on December 29, 1983 in the Oberwiesenthal singles . In the overall ranking of the 1983/84 season , he reached rank 12. At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo , he finished 16th in the individual combination. He had previously won the silver medal at the GDR ski championships in 1984 .
