Andreas Nicolai (born March 17, 1986 in Munich , Bavaria ) is a German film editor .

Life

Andreas Nicolai began studying at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in 2007 with a focus on editing / editing . In 2011 he made the English-language short film Merry Christmas Bob under his own direction, during a year of study at Ryerson University in Toronto . In 2012 he and Matthias Koßmehl worked together on the short film Welcome to Bavaria . In the same year he cut the first full-length documentary film with Heimat Osten , with which he graduated from the film academy. He has been working as a freelance film editor in Munich since 2013. In 2016, two feature films edited by him were released: the scenic film Trash Detective by Maximilian Buck and the documentary Café Waldluft by Matthias Koßmehl.
