Rose is a German short film from the director Claudio Franke from 2016.

The short film was produced by FilmCrew Media and cgFrankeFilm in coproduction with Bayerischer Rundfunk . The project was funded by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern .

action

When Rose is released from prison, her former prison guard, the lonely Marie, offers her a place to sleep and work. The two initially enjoy their first evening together in Marie's apartment. Everything gets out of hand when it becomes clear that the two women want completely different things. Marie tries to put Rose in a new prison.

The story takes place in the Free State of Bavaria, among other places, in a Bavarian penal institution. Most of the motifs were shot in Landshut and the Inning am Ammersee, also in Bavaria . In Landshut, the film was shot in the Landshut correctional facility .

As part of the Max Ophüls Preis 2016 film festival, the film will celebrate its world premiere on January 19, 2016 in Saarbrücken. The film will celebrate its free TV premiere on Bayerischer Rundfunk on July 26th . In addition, Rose competed at the 21st North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and won the Founders Award at the 5th North Carolina Film Awards.
