Andreas Statzkowski
Andreas Statzkowski (born July 20, 1956 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2016 , to which he was a member from 2006 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016 he was State Secretary in the Senate Department for Home Affairs and Sport.
Life
Andreas Statzkowski graduated from high school in 1975 and immediately took up a teaching degree with two electives at the University of Education and the Technical University of Berlin . After graduating in 1983, he did a legal clerkship at the Catholic School St. Franziskus until 1985 , which he finished with the 2nd state examination. From 1985 to 1992 he worked at this school as a teacher.
politics
Andreas Statzkowski joined the Junge Union Berlin (JU) and the CDU in 1973 . For the Junge Union he took on the role of deputy and later also the chairman of the JU in Charlottenburg . During his student days he was also chairman of the Ring Christian-Democratic Students Berlin. Within the CDU he took over the chairmanship of the local association Charlottenburg-West and the deputy district chairmanship of the CDU Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf .
From 1989 to 1992 he was a member of the district assembly in the Charlottenburg district and deputy chairman of the parliamentary group there. From 2001 to 2005 he was a member of the district assembly in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district and chairman of the parliamentary group there. He also held the office of district mayor in 2001 .
Statzkowski was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives for the first time in the September 2006 election. In Parliament he was a member of the Committee on Administrative Reform, Communication and Information Technology, the Committee on Education, Youth and Family and the Committee on Sport. For his parliamentary group he was also a spokesman for administrative reform, communication and information technology, and sport. In the election in September 2011 he was able to prevail with 39.9% of the votes in the constituency of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf 2 and obtain a direct mandate for the House of Representatives.
By decision of the Berlin Senate on December 5, 2011, he was appointed State Secretary in the Senate Department for Home Affairs and Sport, whereupon he resigned from the House of Representatives. As State Secretary he was responsible for the areas of “nationwide cross-sectional tasks” including the performance of the state CIO (responsible for information and communication technology) and “sport”.
In the election in September 2016, Statzkowski was re-elected to the Berlin House of Representatives as a direct candidate with 28.6% of the first votes over the constituency of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf 2. On October 26, 2016, he resigned from the Senate Administration as State Secretary in accordance with the Civil Service Status Act in conjunction with the State Civil Service Act and was put into temporary retirement.
