Andreas Takvam (born June 4, 1993 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Indoor volleyball

Takvam started his career in the hall at Sotra VBK. In 2010 he moved to Nyborg VBK. With the club, the middle blocker became Norwegian champion in 2014. Through his appearances in the Norwegian national team , Effector Kielce became aware of Takvam, so he moved to Poland. With the national team, he missed qualifying for the 2017 European Championship in his hometown of Sotra in 2016 . He was then signed by the German Bundesliga club VfB Friedrichshafen . He won the DVV Cup with the club in the 2016/17 season and became German runner-up . In the next two seasons 2017/18 and 2018/19 there were more cup wins and Takvam was again runner-up with Friedrichshafen. In 2019 he moved to MKS Ślepsk Malow Suwałki .

beach volleyball

Takvam made his first international appearance in beach volleyball with Runar Sannarnes at the 2010 U19 World Cup in Porto . A week later, Takvam / Sannarnes played the U18 European Championship in Porto. At the U19 World Cup 2011 in Umag they were only defeated in the final by the Poles Kaczmarek / Kosiak . They finished the U20 European Championship in Tel Aviv in 13th place. In 2012 they played their first satellite tournaments. At the U20 European Championship in Hartberg and the U21 World Cup in Halifax , they were ninth each. The following year they climbed to fifth place at the U21 World Cup in Umag. They also achieved several podiums on the national tour. At the U22 European Championships in Varna , they finished 17th. After finishing fifth at the U23 World Cup in 2013 in Mysłowice , they competed in Stavanger for their first Grand Slam on the FIVB World Tour . They also took part in the CEV Masters in Novi Sad . With his new partner Jonas Kvalen , Takvam won two national tournaments in 2015 and competed in Gstaad as a major .
