Andreas Trunschke

Andreas Trunschke (born August 7, 1959 in Lieberose ) is a German politician ( PDS , Die Linke ). He was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament from 1994 to 2004 and again from 2008 to 2009 .

Life and work

Andreas Trunschke was born as the son of Hellmut Trunschke and Maria Trunschke. From 1979 to 1983 he studied education , specializing in mathematics / physics at the Potsdam University of Education . Subsequently, he was a research student until 1988 and then worked until 1990 as an employee of the rectorate of the college of education.

After German reunification , from 1990 to 1994 he was a research assistant in the PDS parliamentary group in the Brandenburg state parliament. During this time he did his doctorate in 1992 at the University of Leipzig .

Trunschke is married and has two children.

Trunschke was a member of the SED .

He was a member of the state parliament from October 1994 to October 2004, when he was able to move into the state parliament via the state list of his party. In the 2004 state elections , he ran as a candidate for the direct mandate in the Cottbus II constituency , but was defeated by Frank Szymanski (SPD) and left the state parliament. He replaced Otto Theel on May 30, 2008 when Otto Theel resigned and was again a member of the state parliament until October 21, 2009. Most recently he was a member of the Committee on Science, Research and Culture.
