Andreas Volk (born August 5, 1996 in Gengenbach ) is a German football player .

Career

In the summer of 2013, he switched to the A-youth team at SpVgg Unterhaching via ASV Nordrach, Offenburger FV and SC Freiburg . On March 14, 2015, he made his debut in the Bayernliga Süd for the second team of SpVgg Unterhaching in a 2-1 win against TSV Bogen . The central defender made his professional debut on May 16, 2015 in the game against Preußen Münster . The 18-year-old was appointed to the starting line-up by coach Claus Schromm in this third division game , which ended 1-0 for SpVgg Unterhaching. Despite this victory, the first team was relegated to the Regionalliga Bayern .

After relegation, he left Unterhaching and joined the second team of FC Augsburg , for which he completed twelve regional league games in the following two seasons. For the 2017/18 season he joined the Baden-Württemberg upper division club SV Oberachern , for whom he made six appearances until the winter break. In 2018 he went to the United States to study at Barry University , with their soccer team, the Barry Buccaneers , won the NCAA Division II championship in his first year.
