Andrei Kolkutin

Andrei Kolkutin ( Russian Андрей Колкутин ; born 1957 in Smoljaninowo , Primorye Region ) is a Russian painter.

Life

Kolkutin finished his education at the Repin Art Institute in Leningrad in 1982 . He lives and works in Nalchik , the capital of the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic in Russia. Kolkutin is a member of the Russian artist group The Foster Brothers .

Kolkutin has developed a style which combines elements of Russian icon painting with Suprematism , Cubism and Naive Art . Kolkutin mostly paints oil paintings, but has also created wooden sculptures.

Kolkutin's works can be found in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow , in the Tula Art Museum , in the Kabardino-Balkarian State Museum in Nalchik , in the Kastrupgårdsamlingen in Copenhagen , in the Volgograd Picture Gallery, in the Stolychny Bank Collection and in the Museum Exhibition Center Olympus in Moscow.
