Life

Andrei Nikolajewitsch Mironow was born as the son of the militiaman Nikolai Ivanovich Mironov and his wife Valentina Aleksandrovna. In 1983 the family moved to Ivdel , Sverdlovsk Oblast . In 1990 he graduated from local school and returned to Ryazan. A year later he started attending a vocational school. He prepared for the entrance exam at the Ryazan Art School. He took part in the 1994–96 war in Chechnya . He then graduated from the University of the Ministry of Interior of Russia and still serves as a police officer today.

Work and reception

Since 2005 he has been working as a freelance painter ( autodidact ). As an artist he first worked “for himself”, but in 2007 he won the title “Professional” at the Russian Art Week in Moscow. He later took part in many exhibitions and received numerous commissions.

His development and training as a painter are closely related to the circumstances of his life (his military service and his participation in the First Chechnya War, his work in the police service, etc.). His main focus is in the Christian area. Various critics find echoes of the creations of the old masters in the works of Andrei Mironov.

He also works as an icon painter . Some icons of his hand are in the Kazan convent and in the church of St. Nikolai v Jamskoj Slobode (Ryazan). His works are u. a. in the Kaschira Heimatmuseum and in many private collections.
