Andrei Viorel Tacu

Andrei Viorel Tacu (born November 28, 1988 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian-Swiss actor .

Life

Andrei Viorel Tacu grew up in Altstätten in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley . After completing his studies at the University of Zurich (business administration, philosophy and sociology), he began a four-year acting course at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna in 2012 . During his studies, he worked in various productions, including as Ferdinand in the storm by William Shakespeare . After guest appearances at German-speaking theaters such as the Stadttheater Bern , the Akademietheater in Vienna, the Schauspielhaus Bochum and the Hamburg Thalia TheaterTacu belonged to the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf from 2016 to 2019 . Here he was seen among others in the Shakespeare plays The Tempest , The Merchant of Venice and (as Mercutio ) in Romeo and Juliet , also in Arthur Miller's witch hunt and Michael Kohlhaas based on the novella by Heinrich von Kleist .

On television, Tacu played a leading role in the controversially discussed Tatort episode in 2020, I cried in a dream .

Andrei Viorel Tacu lives in Berlin and works as a freelancer.
