Andrejs Siņicins (born January 30, 1991 in Riga ; Russian Андрей Синицын / Andrei Sinizyn ) is a Latvian football player.
Career
Siņicins began his football career in his hometown of Riga at FK Auda before moving to the youth division of the Latvian record champions Skonto Riga . After playing in the second team since 2007, he also received his first professional contract there in 2009. In order to get match practice, he was awarded shortly afterwards to the league rivals Olimps Riga . On April 5, he made his professional debut in a 4-0 win against FK Daugava Riga when he came on with eight minutes remaining. Then he quickly made the jump to a regular in attacking midfield and was regularly used in the Virslīga . On the 33rd matchday he scored his first goal against FC Tranzits . In the 2010 season he was even captain of his team. He scored six goals in 23 games.
After the loan expired, he returned to Skonto and made his first professional game for the club against his previous club, Olimps, of all places, where Skonto kept the upper hand 4-0. He also made the breakthrough to become a regular player with the top Latvian team and played 20 more games in Virslīga. Siņicins scored his only goal on matchday five.
National team
Since 2005 Siņicins has had regular appearances and hits in the junior teams of Latvia. He made his debut for the U-21 team on June 3, 2011 at 0-2 in Slovakia .
