Andrew Lane

Andrew Lane (born April 17, 1963 ) is a British author and journalist . He has written over 20 youth and adult crime novels, including under the name Andy Lane . Some of his works are novels based on well-known TV series or films such as Doctor Who or Torchwood . As a journalist, Lane writes articles for newspapers and magazines such as DreamWatch , Radio Times , Star Trek Magazine , Star Wars Magazine , Star Wars Fact Files .

Career

Andrew Lane studied physics at Warwick University , where he was interested in short story and novel writing from an early age. From 1986 to 2013 he worked for the British Ministry of Defense ( Defense Science and Technology Laboratory ) Farnborough . a. Contacts with MI6 , the CIA and the NSA . Experience from this time flowed into his latest series of novels, Agent Impossible .

In the 1990s he wrote storylines and texts for the science fiction series Space Island One . After writing novels based on TV series such as Doctor Who and Torchwood , he began writing the first book in his new series Young Sherlock Holmes in 2009 , which deals with youth Sherlock Holmes, studying and developing to become a detective under the guidance of his mentor Amyus Crowe employed. The series was developed in collaboration with the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle and consists of eight episodes.

Lane lives in Dorset , England with his wife and son .
