Andrew Owusu (born July 8, 1972 ) is a former Ghanaian athlete who started in the long jump and triple jump disciplines .
His greatest sporting successes include winning the gold medal in the triple jump at the African Games in 1999 and 2003. In the same discipline, he became African champion in 1998 with a personal best of 17.23 m. Two years later he was able to repeat this success.
Owusu also took part in the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 2000 and in Athens in 2004 , but remained without medal success.
With a height of 1.80 m, his competition weight was 75 kg.
Owusu is now a lecturer at Middle Tennessee State University in the USA .
