Langenborn is part of the Schöllkrippen market in the Aschaffenburg district in Lower Franconia .
geography
Langenborn is located in the middle Kahlgrund between Ernstkirchen and Blankenbach , directly on the 2305 state road . The village is officially not a part of the municipality and is located in the Schöllkrippen district. The Kahl – Schöllkrippen railway line , the Franconian Marienweg and the Kahltal-Spessart cycle path run through Langenborn .
history
Originally the place only consisted of a courtyard. The Langenborner Hof was immediately to the right of the Kahl . From 1659 the farm was leased. In 1680 the property consisted of the Hofreite , a house, the stables, a mill (Kihn mill) and the garden, as well as forest and meadows. From 1713 to 1715 the house and stables were rebuilt. The Hofgut belonged to Mainz until 1806 , then to Krombach . The properties to the right of the Kahl were in the Krombacher area, while those on the other side belonged to Mainz. The bed of the Kahl was moved to operate the mill . As a result of this reburial, parts of the Langenborn court were now back in Mainz territory.
In 1851 the barns were converted into houses and the farm was sold to six owners. In 1900 a sawmill was built on the dammed Kahl , which was also operated with a steam engine . After 1918 they were provided with a generator for the power supply of Schöllkrippen and Ernstkirchen. More houses were built after the Second World War .
