Andrew John "Andy" Marshall (born April 14, 1975 in Bury St Edmunds ) is an English football goalkeeper who is currently under contract with Millwall FC .

Career

youth

Andrew Marshall began his career with Norwich City.

Professional career

He made his professional debut on December 27, 1994 in the away game at Nottingham Forest at the age of 19 after first goalkeeper Bryan Gunn was injured. At the beginning of the next season Bryan Gunn was reinstated so that Marshall was loaned out, first to Bournemouth and then to Gillingham. When the goalkeeper was back at Norwich City he played strong and became a crowd favorite on Carrow Road . At the end of the 2000/01 season, Marshall was voted Player of the Season by the supporters.

He did not renew his expiring contract and moved to Ipswich Town , a close rival of the canaries (The Canaries). At Ipswich the acceptance of the fans was lacking because of his past at Norwich City so that he was first awarded to the Wolverhampton Wanderers and shortly afterwards to Millwall FC , which then firmly signed him. After a total of two years with the Lions, Marshall moved to Coventry City . In the 2009/10 season Marshall was under contract with Aston Villa .
