Andy Mineo

Andy Mineo (born April 17, 1988 in Syracuse , New York ) is an American Christian hip-hop musician from the metropolis of New York .

Career

Andy Mineo is from Syracuse, northwest of New York . Before he went to the metropolis, he rapped in high school and made albums at home. At Syracuse University he was signed to Marshall Street Records and opened at concerts by The Roots and Common . Producer Alex Medina brought him to TRUCE , a religious music project, with which he toured . He released his first mixtape called Sin Is Wack, Vol. 1 in 2009. He also recorded the song Background with Lecrae for his album Rehab which became a minor hit in the genre charts.

Two years later he signed with Reach Records . Until then he had performed under the stage name C-Lite , from his second mixtape Formerly Known he used his real name. Mineo released his first full-length album, Heroes for Sale , in 2013. He immediately made it to number 1 on the Top Christian Albums and the Gospel Albums . In the official charts it came to number 11. Lecrae returned the favor as a guest on the album and made the song Uno uno seis another smaller hit. A year later Mineo released an EP called Never Land , which built on the success of the debut album and contained many hits, including You Can't Stop Me , which came in at number 4 in the gospel charts. Later that year he was back with Lecrae on the number one album Anomaly . With the song Say I Won't they had a number one hit in the gospel charts.

He released his second studio album, Uncomfortable , in autumn 2015. Once again he reached the top of the Christian album and entered the top 10 in the official charts.
