Andy Wilman

Andrew Neville "Andy" Wilman (born August 16, 1962 ) is a British television producer . He became known as Executive Producer of the Top Gear program from 2002 to 2015. Since 2016 he has been Executive Producer of The Grand Tour .

Live and act

He was responsible for building the show, creating the humor alongside Jeremy Clarkson , and creating The Stig. In addition, he used to present some segments of the show himself. Like Clarkson, he attended Repton School in Derbyshire .

After Top Gear's original format was repealed by the BBC, Wilman and former presenter Clarkson created a new format. In 2006 he founded the production company Bedder 6 together with Clarkson, which has significantly influenced the success of Top Gear. Away from Top Gear, Wilman has long worked with Jeremy Clarkson and designed a number of new television projects. In April 2015, a month after Jeremy Clarkson left, Wilman resigned from the BBC as executive producer on Top Gear. Since 2016, Wilman has been the executive producer of the show The Grand Tour , which with Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond about their company “W. Chump & Sons ”will be produced and broadcast on Amazon Video for Amazon Prime customers.
