Andy Woerz (born February 18, 1962 in Bochum ) is an Austrian singer and actor . He lives in Vienna.

Career

From 1982 to 1987 Woerz was the presenter of the German-language holiday channel Radio Adria in Aquileia and from 1989 to 1996 for Radio Vienna .

As an actor and musical performer he had theater engagements in Vienna, Rostock, Berlin and played in various TV productions, for example "Löwingerbühne" (1988) with Paul Löwinger and as Andreas "Burli" Strahler in the impromptu series of the ORF Die liebe Familie (1988– 1990).

Woerz has also been working as a professional speaker in Austria and Germany (advertising, dubbing, ...) a. a. as "Schani Strauss" in "Die Strauss-Dynastie" by Marvin J. Chomsky and as "Ente Ferdinand" in the Austrian version of A Piglet Named Babe .

From September 2000 to October 2009 Woerz was a member of the Austrian a cappella formation Die Echten and was in the Austrian charts for 16 weeks (1989) with "Vienna Lusthouse" ("Ready 4 Radetzky").

In 2005 his "Das Nonsenswörterbuch" appeared , with an extensive collection of puns and an Austrian-German lexicon.

In 2013 he could be seen as part of the Hyundai Cabaret Days with The Comedy Music Cabaret Lecture Narrative Program With Overture on ORF.
