Career

Angela Eiter competed in her first competition at the age of 11 at the West Tyrolean Championships in Landeck. In 2001, the climbing talent from Imst was named junior vice world champion. In the successful year 2002 she became Tyrolean champion, national champion, vice youth world champion and overall youth European cup winner. In the 2004 season she dominated the World Cup and finally won the overall standings. In 2005 and 2006, the Pitztal woman again secured the overall World Cup. Of the nine competitions in the 2005 season, she won eight, once she came second. She also won the world championships in Munich , won the 2005 World Games and the legendary international Rockmaster in Arco (ITA).

In 2007 Angela Eiter showed again her capabilities at the World Championships in Avilés (ESP) and was first, as well as four years later in Arco. In the rock you will get routes up to the French level of difficulty 9a.

In 2011 Angela Eiter founded the K3-Climbing climbing school with her partner Bernhard Ruech and Emanuel Soraperra .

In September 2012 she won her fourth world title in Paris.

In 2013 Angela Eiter ended her competitive career. Since then she has been very successful in rock climbing. She is the first woman to complete three routes on UIAA level 11. Angela Eiter describes her height of 1.54 meters as her greatest handicap in rock climbing. Certain routes would therefore be denied her, especially if they were set up by men. In October 2017, she became the first woman ever to climb "La Planta de Shiva" (Spain) on a route with a (French) difficulty level of 9b.
