Angela McEwan

Angela McEwan (* 23. April 1934 in Santa Monica , California as Angela Van Zanten , † 20th December 2015 in Long Beach , California) was an American actress .

Life

McEwan was born in Santa Monica, California in 1934. She graduated from Los Angeles City College and then studied acting at the University of California in Los Angeles . Here she met her future husband Guillermo McEwan, with whom she was married from 1955 until his death in 2009 and had two sons.

She did her Masters in Spanish at the University of California at Irvine , so that she later worked as a translator for Spanish. At an advanced age she took acting lessons again and from 2003 played in various short films as well as in television series such as Leaving Bliss and Getting On - Nasty Old Bones . She gained fame in the role of Peg Nagy in Alexander Payne's six-time Oscar-nominated road movie Nebraska .

In October 2014 she was diagnosed with lung cancer, of which she died in 2015.
