Angela Whyte ( Angela Patricia Whyte; born May 22, 1980 in Edmonton ) is a Canadian hurdler who specializes in the 100-meter distance .

At the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Edmonton, she was eliminated in the preliminary stages, and at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, she was fifth.

In 2003 she came fifth at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo and reached the semi-finals at the World Cup in Paris / Saint-Denis .

In 2004 she was eliminated from the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Budapest over 60 m hurdles in the preliminary run and was sixth at the Olympic Games in Athens .

Another semi-final at the 2005 World Cup in Helsinki was followed by a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in 2006 . In 2007 she won bronze at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and was eighth at the World Cup in Osaka .

In 2008 she came at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Valencia over 60 m hurdles and at the Olympic Games in Beijing not beyond the first round. She also failed in the run-up to the 2009 World Cup in Berlin.

At the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi and at the Pan American Games 2011 in Guadalajara she won silver. In 2013 she finished sixth at the World Cup in Moscow , and in 2014 she won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow .
