Angelika Ritter

Angelika Ritter (born January 24, 1948 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a German actress and stage manager . She worked for 41 years at the Berliner Ensemble and played in films such as His Highness - Comrade Prince and Lotte in Weimar .

biography

After graduating from high school in 1966, she studied acting at the Babelsberg Film University (then “German Academy for Film Art Potsdam-Babelsberg”). Your lecturers have included BK Tragelehn , Horst Ruprecht and Siegfried maximum . During her studies she played in productions of the Hans Otto Theater such as Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti , Der zerbrochne Krug and Die Laune des Verliebten , where she also got an acting contract after graduating in 1970. On the recommendation of Peter Kupke , she was engaged to the Berliner Ensemble in 1970 after an audition. After the political change in the GDR , she also became a stage manager in 1991 and worked with directors such as Katharina Thalbach , Mona Kraushaar, Tanja Weidner, George Tabori , Peter Zadek , Heiner Müller , Einar Schleef , Luc Bondy , Thomas Langhoff , Peter Palitzsch , Claus Peymann , Frank Castorf and Philip Tiedemann together. She held this position until she retired in 2013.
