Angeline Ball (born 1969 in Ireland ) is an Irish actress .

Life

Ball made her debut in the role of singer Imelda Quirke in the musical film The Commitments from 1991. In the comedy My Girl 2 - Meine große Liebe (1994) she appeared on the side of Dan Aykroyd , Jamie Lee Curtis and Anna Chlumsky in a larger role on. She starred in the British-Irish crime film Trojan Eddie (1996) alongside Stephen Rea , Richard Harris , Stuart Townsend and Brid Brennan .

Ball received the Irish Film and Television Award in 2003 for her role in the 2002 television series Any Time Now . In the same year she won the same award for the lead role in the drama Bloom (2003), in which she played alongside Stephen Rea. In the Irish mystery thriller The Tiger's Tail (2006), she starred alongside Kim Cattrall and Ciarán Hinds .
