The film Terror in the Mall , also known in Germany under the names The Mall - flood catastrophe in shopping centers , Die Flut - panic in the department store and Der Dammbruch - rescue from the floods , is a German-American co-production from 1998.

It rains a lot in Pine Valley. The McKimson dam could break, so local residents flee.

One of the inmates escapes from a prison in the area, killing three people in the process. Pine Valley Sheriff Chris Maratos helps find the killer. Chris' wife Sheri, singer Suzanne Price and other people are in a shopping mall when they are trapped in the floods after the dam breaks. The murderer Glen Savoy is there too.

Savoy takes Sheri hostage, and police reinforcements arrive. The shopping center is at risk of explosion from flowing gas.
