Angelo Corrias

Angelo Corrias (born June 17, 1903 in Ghilarza , † 1977 ) was an Italian diplomat .

Life

Angelo Corrias was the son of Antiopa and Francesco Corrias. In 1932 he married Egle Sceti. He received his doctorate in law and economics and entered the foreign service in 1928. From 1930 to 1931 he was legation secretary to the League of Nations in Geneva . In 1932 he was consul in Nice and in 1934 in Tunis . From 1936 to 1939 he was secretary of the legation in Paris . From 1939 to 1946 he was employed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Italy) . In 1947 he became secretary of the embassy in Ankara . In 1950 he headed the economic department and in 1950 he was the head of the Italian delegation for the Paris Schuman Plan conference,

From 1955 to 1958 he was ambassador to Vienna and then from October 22, 1958 to October 11, 1961 he was ambassador to Lisbon .

From 1964 to 1965 he was chief of protocol.
