Angelus Kujur
Angelus Kujur SJ (born July 14, 1946 in Mundaltoli ) is an Indian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Purnea .
Life
Angelus Kujur joined the religious community of Jesuits and was ordained a priest on April 13, 1980 . He studied psychology and spirituality from 1981 to 1985 at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. After that he was pastor and novice master in Jisu Jaher, Dumka and from 1989 first provincial of the Jesuit province Dumka-Raiganj.
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Purnea on January 20, 2007. He was ordained bishop on April 18 of the same year by the Archbishop of Ranchi , Telesphore Placidus Cardinal Toppo ; Co- consecrators were Vincent Barwa , auxiliary bishop in Ranchi, and Julius Marandi , bishop of Dumka .
