Angourie Rice (born January 1, 2001 in Perth ) is an Australian actress . She played her first major role in 2013 in the end-of-time film These Final Hours , and was best known in 2018 with the literary film adaptation Ultimately, we don't care about the universe .

life and career

Rice is the daughter of director Jeremy Rice and actress Kate Rice . From 2009 she took on several roles in Australian short films , including in the 2012 short film Transmission by Zak Hilditch , for which she was awarded Best Actress at the St Kilda Film Festival in 2012 .

Hilditch then cast her for the female lead role of Rose in his end-time disaster film These Final Hours . This was followed by a speaking role in the Australian-British co-production Dinosaurier 3D - In the realm of the giants and several guest appearances in Australian television series, including an episode role in Mako - Simply Mermaid .

In 2016 she got a supporting role in the US crime comedy The Nice Guys , which was released in German cinemas in June 2016. In 2017 she appeared in a supporting role in Spider-Man: Homecoming . In 2018 she played the leading role in the teenage film drama Ultimately, we don't care about the universe after the novel of the same name by David Levithan , which was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize in 2015 .
