Animal Logic was a progressive rock experiment that released two studio albums and nine singles between 1987 and 1991.

history

With the merger -Bassisten Stanley Clarke (formerly " Return to Forever ") and the jazz - singer-songwriter Deborah Holland founded the former " The Police " drummer Stewart Copeland in 1987 an experimental band that called itself at the beginning of "Rush Hour".

Andy Summers (guitarist of "The Police") was a member of "Animal Logic" when it was founded, but left it at the end of 1987 after a short tour in Brazil to record his first solo album XYZ .

Until it broke up in late 1991, the trio recorded two studio albums, titled Animal Logic (1989) and Animal Logic II (1991), and a total of nine EPs and singles.

Miles Copeland III - brother of Stewart and former manager of "The Police" - acted mostly as a producer and released all "Animal Logic" productions under his label IRS Records in collaboration with the also former "The Police" founding member Henry Padovani . Much of the songs were contributed by Deborah Holland.

Prominent guest musicians were u. a. Freddie Hubbard , Steve Howe , Jackson Browne , George Duke and David Lindley .

From 1991 the three musicians continued their solo careers.
