Anita Breithaupt
Anita Breithaupt (born June 4, 1936 in Ottmarsbocholt ; † April 6, 2016 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .
education and profession
Anita Breithaupt studied social work after graduating from high school and worked as a social worker. From 1970 she held teaching positions at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences , and from 1972 she taught there full-time. At the same time, she studied sociology and pedagogy and was appointed professor at the FH after completing her diploma examination.
politics
Anita Breithaupt had been a member of the SPD since 1965, where she held various board positions. Among other things, she was the SPD chairwoman in Frankfurt am Main . There she was a city councilor from November 1, 1972 to October 15, 1983. Her nomination as head of social affairs (succeeding the outgoing Christine Hohmann-Dennhardt ) by the left wing of the Frankfurt SPD led to Mayor Volker Hauff's resignation on March 11, 1991 .
From September 25, 1983 to April 4, 1999 she was a member of the Hessian state parliament. She ran for election in the constituency of Frankfurt am Main IV , but was always elected via the SPD state list. Anita Breithaupt died in April 2016 at the age of 79.
