Anita Lindblom (born December 14, 1937 in Hille , ( Gävle ), Gästrikland ) is a Swedish actress , dancer and singer .

Biography and artistic work

The parents recognized their daughter's musical talent very early on, and she was taking ballet and piano lessons. But the young Anita first decided on a "solid" profession and learned the goldsmith's trade. In addition, she completed her dancing talent. She took lessons from one of the most important ballet masters in Scandinavia. A love relationship developed between the two, from which son Jörg emerged. After the birth of her son, the mother separated from the father of her child.

After various appearances in revues and plays, the artist received a record deal. Anita Lindblom had her first hit with the Swedish version of Edith Piaf's world success Milord . Further successful covered recordings followed - such as Lili Marlene , Lille man or Gigi .

In 1962 her first record was released in Germany under the title Let love out of play / A bit of courage . With this single she reached number 13 on the German charts in May 1962. From then on, Anita Lindblom, who was referred to as the daughter of Zarah Leander because of her memorable deep voice, belonged to the first generation of singers, along with Lill-Babs , Vivi Bach , Lill Lindfors and Siw Malmkvist , who made a career as a Scandinavian export in Germany at the time . The sex cat from Sweden , an attribute with which Anita Lindblom did not agree, was often a guest on the major TV shows of the time: Hallo Paulchen , Hotel Victoria , music from Studio B , beach whispers, etc. a.

In the mid-1960s, it became quiet around Anita Lindblom, who in 1963 switched from the Fontana Records label to Philips , then to Metronome Records . Her comeback attempt in 1968 with the German version of Patty Pravo's hit La Bambola and the LP Musik (S) exclusively with Anita Lindblom failed. The artist then withdrew from the German pop market and concentrated exclusively on her career in the Scandinavian region. She was a busy woman in film, radio and television, as well as in folk parks and music halls . Two films in which she was involved as an actress also appeared in Germany. In 1968 the artist was named Woman of the Year in her home country and was awarded the Anna Lisa , the so-called Swedish Oscar , for best entertainer .

Difficulties with the Swedish tax authorities were the reason for her move to France, where she occasionally appeared as a singer and wrote her memoir, entitled Anita . Today Anita Lindblom lives near Cannes and takes care of animal welfare there.

The artist was married to the Swedish boxer Bosse Högberg from 1966 to 1970 .

For her 60th birthday, a CD with the great German successes of the Swedish artist was released on the Bear Family Records label - (Let love out of the game BCD 15977 AH) in 1998.
