Anita Morris

Anita Morris (born March 14, 1943 in Durham , North Carolina , † March 2, 1994 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Morris made his debut at the American Mime Theater ; She played her first Broadway role in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar . In 1982 she was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in the musical Nine . She was supposed to perform a scene from the play during the award ceremony, but was forbidden to do so because of her clothing.

Morris played her first film role in the comedy The Broad Coalition from 1972. In the film drama Maria's Lovers (1984), she played one of the bigger roles alongside Nastassja Kinski . Also in 1984 she starred in the Rolling Stones music video "She Was Hot". In the comedy Little Millionaire in Need (1993), she played the stepmother of Heather Lofton ( Jennifer Love Hewitt ).

Morris married the dancer and choreographer Grover Dale in 1973 , with whom she remained married until her death. In 1980 she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, of which she died on March 2, 1994. The couple have a son, actor James Badge Dale .
