Anke - The comedy series is a German comedy series that was produced from 1999 to 2001 with Anke Engelke in the lead role.

content

The series takes place behind the scenes of the fictional talk show Anke . Presenter Anke is successful, popular and able to solve other people's problems in front of the camera. However, in private life, she is not so lucky and unsuccessfully struggles with her own problems. She has been single for years and only ex-boyfriend Tom hangs around her office all the time. The other members of the editorial team are not really helpful either. Lisa works as an editor, but is also a wife and mother and often feels overwhelmed with the triple burden, which comes to the fore in stomach problems. The choleric editor-in-chief Schröder would do anything for a good quota and usually tries to assert himself by shouting. Secretary Nikki alone has everything under control: the men do everything for her when she looks good.

Reviews

  • Michael Reufsteck and Stefan Niggemeier describe the series in their television dictionary as "something special". They call it "an intelligent German sitcom".
  • Barbara Sichtermann wrote in her article So a Knaller in the time in 2000: “Well, they thought on Sat.1, if this Anke is such a hit, she will also be good for the German Ally McBeal, so let's go. You put the girl in a fictional TV editorial office, let her moderate daily talks on extreme topics (Anke, I'm a nymphomaniac!) And pass all kinds of tests in job and life. Unfortunately, they neglected to let Engelke write the script, maybe one or the other funny spark would have hoped into the dialogue. If she is allowed to speak herself, you always listen to her with pleasure. But as Anke, Anke is totally up for grabs. The winged thank you, Anke! from the weekly show news suddenly gets a whole new meaning. "

Others

  • Each episode had a typical talk show topic as a name. So z. B. Anke, I love a knacki! and Anke, help me, I find myself ugly! .
  • Some well-known personalities took on guest roles in the series: Stefan Raab , Kai Pflaume , Katy Karrenbauer , Thomas Ohrner u. a.
  • The names of the guest actors were shown in front of the opening credits, i.e. before those of the main actors.
  • The complete series has been available on DVD since October 11, 2004. "Season 1" is incorrectly noted on the cover.
  • As with Engelke's Christmas gala, the director was Thank you Anke Sven Unterwaldt .
  • Since July 2, 2008, reruns have been broadcast on Comedy Central .

Theme song

The title song was sung by Anke Engelke herself. The text is as follows:

“It looks like my life has gone the wrong way. Everything is different than ordered. I have no house, no monkey and no horse either. The world does what it likes with me. But I will definitely be happy. I just don't know how yet. I just don't know how yet. But I will definitely be happy! "
