Maria Besendahl , actually Anna-Marie Besendahl (born November 12, 1901 in Schwerin ; † January 2, 1983 there ) was a German film and theater actress .

Life

Maria Besendahl began her acting career in the 1920s on theaters in Schwerin, Eisenach , Stendal and in Berlin . She made her screen debut in 1944 with the film Große Freiheit No. 7 with Hans Albers . After the end of the Second World War , she accepted engagements at the Schwerin theater and cabaret, before accepting film offers again from 1949. She appeared in many DEFA films, such as Die Brücke in 1949 and Sommerliebe in 1955 , but often in supporting roles.
