background

Anna Bond is the second collaboration between Indian director Duniya Soori and actor and singer Puneeth Rajkumar after the acclaimed film Jackie (2010). The staff was also largely identical to the crew of the film Jackie , for example V. Harikrishna (music), Shashidhar Adapa (art), Sathya Hegde (camera) and Imran Sardhariya (choreography) worked on both projects.

The film was officially announced on October 7, 2011, and shooting began on October 10 , one day after the release of Puneet's film Paramathma . This is the 80th film production by Poornima Enterprises, the production company of the acclaimed Kannada film actor Dr. Rajkumar . The film contains five songs (sung and danced), the texts are written by Yogaraj Bhat, Jayanth Kaikini and Kaviraj. As a big budget film (an unusual risk in the Indian film industry), the plot concept was announced as “revolutionary”, at the same time it was assured that the usual entertainment factor would be retained in any case. In addition, the producers promised the increased use of CGI graphic artists to support the plot for the increased financial outlay .

Bangalore , Coorg and Kanakapura were used as locations . Part of the film crew also shot two of the songs in Spain , where a large Spanish audience was allowed.

Soundtrack

A soundtrack album for the film was released on April 2, 2012. V. Harikrishna composed the music and hired various songwriters.

Reviews

Anna Bond received lackluster to poor reviews.

Rediff took the film in its list of the Most Disappointing Kannada film of 2012 ( the most disappointing Kannada movies of 2012 ), which film critic of the side issued the film a "thumbs-down" criticism and justified, the film was suitable "solely and exclusively for Puneeth fans ”.

The Times of India originally gave it 4 out of 5 stars, but subsequently lowered the rating to 3.5 stars in response to public feedback. In his review, the film critic was full of praise, both for Suri, who brings “good action material with a touch of romance” to the table, and for lead actor Puneet, who shows himself “from his best side”. The script was impressive, the plot and the dialogues were equally successful and the action scenes in particular were outstandingly successful for the director. The sheer number of fight scenes is a bit "overdosed". The average viewer rating (based on 19 reader ratings) also listed in the online version of the newspaper article was 3.0 out of 5 stars.

The IMDb determined an average viewer rating of 3.9 out of 10 stars on the basis of 174 individual ratings with an exceptionally wide spread (19% awarded all 10 stars, 27% awarded the minimum number of just one star).
