Anna Emilie von Anhalt-Koethen-Pless

Anna Emilie von Anhalt-Köthen (born May 20, 1770 in Pleß , † February 1, 1830 in Fürstenstein ) was a princess of Anhalt-Köthen and heiress of the Pleß class .

Life

Anna Emilie was the only daughter of Prince Friedrich Erdmann von Anhalt-Köthen-Pleß (1731–1797) from his marriage to Louise Ferdinande (1744–1784), daughter of Count Henrich Ernst II of Stolberg-Wernigerode .

Anna Emilie married Count Hans Heinrich VI on May 21, 1791 in Pless . von Hochberg , Baron von Fürstenstein (1768–1833). After the childless death of Anna Emilie's brothers Ferdinand , Heinrich and Ludwig , Anna Emilie's son Hans Heinrich X. von Hochberg took control of Pless.

Anna Emilie was a close friend of Charlotte Schleiermacher, a sister of the philosopher Friedrich Schleiermacher, and supported this family financially.

She is one of the namesake of the Drei Annen mine .
