Anna Heindl
Anna Heindl (born February 13, 1950 in Perg , Upper Austria) is an Austrian jewelry artist. Today she lives and works in Vienna and Lower Austria.
Anna Heindl spent her childhood and youth in Upper Austria. In 1969 she completed her Matura in Linz on the Danube . Anna Heindl then studied theater studies for two semesters at the University of Vienna and from 1971 at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna , where she graduated from Franz Hagenauer's master class in metal design in 1976 . During this time she studied as a guest student with Hermann Jünger at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and did an internship with Elisabeth Defner and Helfried Kodré. After studying she worked with the visual artist Manfred Wakolbinger (from 1976 to 1980), whom she married in 1979.
The Vienna City Hall Correspondence wrote in 2002 about Heindl: “Your pieces of jewelery, which have sculptural qualities, are shown all over the world. Her titles, landscape and garden , ears and tears , blossoms are also an expression of her closeness to nature. "
Works
Anna Heindl's work is always determined by a topic that usually occupies her for two to three years.
- In “Landscape and Garden” she was interested in human intervention in nature and in drawing boundaries in a broader sense.
- "Ears and Tears" is about listening and the shape of the ear.
- “Paradise” refers to the middle section of the painting “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by Hieronymus Bosch. The wisdom from the Old Testament mixed with the rules of the free-spirited religious community to which Bosch belonged provide the background for this work.
- “Color bodies” are color spaces made of precious stones in stainless steel.
- “Flowers of the night” (term for Japanese pubic hair wigs): precious stones and pearls surrounded by stainless steel fringes
- "Buds": Bud, the state before flowering.
