The municipality of Anna Paulowna was merged on January 1, 2012 together with the municipalities of Niedorp, Wieringen and Wieringermeer to form the municipality of Hollands Kroon .

history
Anna Paulowna lies on a polder that was only drained in the 19th century. The polder became its own municipality in 1870. In 1990 some areas were added, so that the community no longer consisted only of the polder.
Anna Paulowna is named after Queen Anna Pavlovna of the Netherlands , wife of King Wilhelm II . She was the daughter of a Russian tsar.
economy
Anna Paulowna's economy is mainly limited to the cultivation of flower bulbs; the municipality has the largest contiguous flower field in the world. Every year at the end of April / beginning of May, the Flower Days take place in Anna Paulowna and Breezand .
