Anna Sergejewna Sen ( Russian Анна Сергеевна Сень , scientific transliteration Anna Sergeevna Sen ' ; born December 3, 1990 in Krasnodar , Soviet Union ) is a Russian handball player .
Career
Sen played for the Russian first division club GK Kuban Krasnodar until 2010 . With Kuban she was in the quarter-finals of the EHF Cup in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons . In the summer of 2010, the right-hander switched to league rivals Zvezda Zvenigorod , where she played in the left and right backcourt. A year later she signed a contract with the Russian club GK Rostov-on-Don . In the 2014/15 season she played for the Hungarian first division club Győri ETO KC . With Győr she won the Hungarian Cup in 2015. Then she returned to GK Rostov-on-Don. With Rostov she won the EHF Cup in 2017 and the Russian championship in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Sen has so far played 140 games for the Russian national team . With the Russian national junior team, she was runner-up in 2010. A year earlier, Sen took 3rd place at the European Junior Championships and was the tournament's top scorer with 48 goals. At the 2008 Youth World Cup, Sen won the world title with the Russian selection. She won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . She won the silver medal at the 2018 European Championships . At the 2019 World Cup , she won the bronze medal with the Russian selection. During the tournament she scored 35 goals.
