Anna Theodora Eugster-Züst

Anna Theodora Eugster-Züst (born August 29, 1860 in Heiden ; † December 19, 1938 in Speicher ; entitled to live in Lutzenberg ) was a Swiss pietist and poor carer from the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .

Life

Anna Theodora Eugster-Züst was a daughter of Johann Konrad Züst, manufacturer , chief judge and colonel , and Karoline Goldschmidt. In 1887 she married Howard Eugster . She was a sister-in-law of Ernst Steiger-Züst . After secondary school, Eugster entered the subsidiary of the Wilhelmsdorf Brethren in Württemberg . After that, she spent a year in western Switzerland and completed a nurse - teaching in the Diakonissenanstalt Riehen . Before moving to Speicher, Eugster was involved in the welfare of the poor from 1887 to 1909 in Hundwil as a “community mother” . For fifty years she was a strongly pietistic Sunday school teacher . At the cantonal level, she campaigned for foster children and the care of daughters.
