Anne-Marie Schneider's work is often autobiographical , shows a fascination for everyday situations, comments on everyday experiences, literature, political events and media images. Personal and political go hand in hand. The solid line is one of their means of expression. Schneider's reduced images often have the immediacy of cartoons . Schneider's drawings are often tragic and absurd at the same time. With gentle mockery, she challenges conventions and the expectations of each individual.
