Anne Kjersti Kalvå (born June 5, 1992 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Kalvå started for the first time in December 2012 in Sjusjøen in the Scandinavian Cup , where she finished 31st over 10 km freestyle and achieved a top 20 result with 16th place in the sprint. Kalvå achieved her first top 15 result with 13th place in the 10 km freestyle mass start race in Madona in February 2013 . Two weeks later she was eleventh in the 15 km freestyle mass start in Inari . One month later, Kalvå made her debut in the World Cup in Drammen , where she finished 51st in the sprint. In December 2014 she achieved her first top 10 results at the Scandinavian Cup in Lillehammer with sixth place in the 10 km freestyle and ninth place in the sprint. In February 2015 Kalvå finished fifth at the U23 World Championships in Almaty over 10 km freestyle and ninth in the skiathlon and again placed seventh in the top ten at the Scandinavian Cup in Madona in the 20 km mass start race in free technique. In December 2015 in Lillehammer, she started in the World Cup, where she finished 44th in the skiathlon and reached tenth place with the fourth Norwegian relay. At the subsequent Scandinavian Cup in Vuokatti , Kalvå was seventh over the 10 km classic and achieved her first podium finish with second place in the sprint. In March 2016 she came ninth in the mini tour in Otepää and finally finished seventh in the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup. In the 2016/17 season she won her first World Cup points in Toblach with 28th place in the sprint and in Oslo with 19th place in the 30 km mass start race. She finished the Tour de Ski 2017/18 in 22nd place.

In the 2018/19 season Kalvå won the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup with four second places and one third and first place. In the following season, she finished 13th in the Ruka Triple and 16th in the Tour de Ski 2019/20 , making it 26th in the overall World Cup.
