Anne Kodura

Anne Kodura (* 1987 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German screenwriter , film director and producer .

Life

Anne Kodura initially wrote articles for the independent radio broadcaster Radio Corax in her hometown of Halle , then studied media art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and was a graduate of the TP2 Talent Pool program of Tradewind Pictures , funded by Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung . She gained practical experience as an assistant director on various projects.

In 2013 she was awarded the Open Eyes Youth Jury Prize at the Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Festival for her documentary Ödland - So that nobody notices it , in which she describes the lives of three children in a home for asylum seekers in Möhlau . She also won the award for the best young documentary film at the Oaxaca Film Festival and was nominated for the Transparent Bear at the 2013 Berlinale .
